Ummm I don't think so....both the HWH & RNC Jns have almost identical departure/arrival timings at Patna.....I don't think this arrangement would make a hell lot of difference!

May be it's not a daily RSA ( as HWH JS is not running on Sunday whereas RNC JS is daily). The schedule is probably like this ( Just a guess):
Rake 1 : Sun-Sat as RNC JS-> Sun ( Full maintenance) -> Mon-Sat as HWH JS -> Sun-Sat as RNC JS->Sun ( Full maintenance).
Rake 2 will have a similar schedule. This way, every alternate sunday, one rake will go for a complete maintenance and whichever rake runs as HWH JS for the week, will run as RNC JS for the next

week and then go for a full maintenance.

very useful explanation, but looking at interior of the coaches will dilute all concept of "maintenance"
dust, noisy fans, flickering lights, broken hand-rests. The roof (specially area between lights) is filled with spiders & webs.
For a second i thought this might be the Jan "spidermam" shatabdi :P
(Ranchi JS suffered ever since the rsa with PNBE-HWH JS started)
