16228 will be a unique train of IR by this month end.

1. 16228 gets a single Sleeper coach attached to it at Talaguppa and that coach gets detached at ASK and later it gets attached to 17302 after waiting for 145 minutes. And then this single coach proceeds to MYS along with 17302 and reaches MYS at 7 am.

more... this month end, in order to less the burden of maintenance, the "GREAT" SBC division is pushing off the 16228 to MYS, so that MYS maintains this rake. And 16228 will reach MYS at 7:40 am.

So is this unique? Is there any other train where a slip portion and the main train reach the same destination by different routes at different timings??????

Also to note:
1. To lessen burden on SBC division - Hampi/Gol Gumbaz/Basava have all been extended to MYS.
2. Does MYS have pitlines to maintain 16228?
3. With this extension, SWR conveniently cancelled a Pass - 56233/34.
4. So now SBC basically maintains just Rani Chennamma and UBL Jan Shatabdi as KA trains. Recently they had sent the SMET tri-weekly to YPR as terminal and for PM.
