Train operations between Prayagraj Sangam and Prayag Junction were disrupted for about two hours. It took five hours to put the engine back on the tracks. An inter-departmental investigation team has been formed by the North Railway Lucknow Division to investigate the incident and determine the cause. The team will submit its report within three days. Train number 14308, the Bareilly-Sangam Express, departed from Bareilly at 5:30 PM on Tuesday and was scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj Sangam at 3:10 AM but was delayed by over two and a half hours. Several trains were affected by the derailment, including the Nauchandi, Intercity, and Ganga Gomti Express. Railway officials have denied claims that the derailment was caused by missing pandrol clips. The incident is under investigation, and the cause will be determined after the investigation is completed.
