UTTARANDHRARAILSEVA~ 1894 blog postsI think the demand for berths has not reduced even after the frequency is increased from weekly to 4 days a week. Niw the NFRailway should make a plan to make it run 6 days a week except friday .
The initial plan was to make it daily. Upper Assam suffered a lot due to this, like short termination of Brahmaputra mail at Kamakhya, cancellation of DBRG-KOAA weekly and DBRG-JHAJHA express.
Hope NFR makes it daily soon, and also increase the frequency of NTSK-SMVB to atleast triweekly

Too many people, too few trains.
Before vivek's frequency was increased, there were only three weeklies from upper Assam to South India, Vivek Express, NTSK - TBM, NTSK - SMVB.
Also, this is not just for South India, it is common with all trains of upper Assam.

It doesn't matter if it originates from DBRG or NTSK, it will be touching NTSK in any case.
It was a complete flop train and totally unplanned. If you look at the major points along the route,
1. NTSK - ignored.
2. DBRG - too early departure.
3. Jorhat - has its own Jan Shatabdi, people can do their work in the first half and take the train at 2 PM.
