Bypass at Nainpur needed. then trains will get speed up. Nainpur-Chindwara 140 kms in 2 hrs 15 mins is very fast timings & good timings. Wonder why JBP-NIR takes 3 hrs, 45 mins to 1 hour more than normal time.

Farakka Express when introduced was a faster train. Used to run from Delhi to Malda Town, later got extended to Bhiwani. Again got shortened permanently in DLI-MLDT. Timings when I travelled in 1998 were:- MLDT 21.15; BGP 00.45/55; JMP 01.50/02.00; PNBE 05.10/25; MGS 09.10/30; BSB 10.00/30; AY 14.00/05; FD 14.20/30; LKO 17.15/35; CNB 18.55/19.05; DLI 03.15/30; ROK 04.54/59; BNW 06.00|| BNW 20.45; ROK 21.40/45; DLI 23.05/25; CNB 07.30/40; LKO 09.00/20; BSB 16.05/35; MGS 17.08/28; PNBE 20.58/21.13; JMP 00.28/38; BGP 01.40/50; MLDT 05.30|| 1585 kms in 32 hrs 45 mins @ 48 kph. Delhi -Malda Town was 30 hrs journey covering 1465 kms @ 49 kph.
