Saha cited PM Modi's Act East Policy and HIRA model as the driving force behind the upcoming operationalization. The trial runs for the Agartala-Akhaura rail link are complete, and the project is nearing completion with ongoing discussions between India and Bangladesh. The Maitri Setu is also ready for passenger movement, with all necessary infrastructure including immigration facilities established at Sabroom Land Custom Station. The final date for passenger movement will be decided by Delhi and Dhaka.

Agartala-Akhaura rail link ke liye trial runs complete ho gaye hain, aur project almost complete ho gaya hai, aur India aur Bangladesh ke beech discussions chal rahe hain. Maitri Setu bhi passenger movement ke liye ready hai, Sabroom Land Custom Station pe immigration facilities sahit saare necessary infrastructure bana diya gaya hai. Passenger movement ki final date Delhi aur Dhaka decide karenge.
