is expected to reduce travel time between Dharwad and Belagavi from three hours to one hour. MLA Mahesh Tenginakai has urged the Union Minister of State for Railways to intervene and expedite the land transfer process. The state government has assigned land acquisition responsibilities to the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), which is responsible for providing 888 acres for the project. The project has been discussed since 2020, and the former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had assured prompt land acquisition after the central government’s approval.
