Indian Railways has announced the operation of a weekly special train between Jammu Tawi and Barauni, running via Gorakhpur, to accommodate the increased passenger traffic during the festive season. The return journey will commence every Friday from Barauni starting October 11th, arriving in Jammu Tawi at 10:30 PM. The train will consist of 13 coaches, including 11 AC 3-tier economy coaches and 2 generator cum luggage vans. The train will depart from Gorakhpur at 4:35 AM during the outward journey and at 11:55 PM during the return journey.
