During Navratri, travelers observing fasts often face difficulties finding suitable food options while traveling. Recognizing this, Indian Railways is providing sattvik (pure vegetarian) and falahari (fasting-friendly) food options for such passengers. Passengers can pre-order these meals at least two hours before their journey begins through IRCTC's e-catering website, with options for pre-payment or pay-on-delivery. The meal will be delivered to their seats at the designated station. These sattvik thalis are priced between ₹100 and ₹200. Booking can be done through the IRCTC e-catering website or the official website www.ecatering.irctc.co.in.
