Due to waterlogging in the Konkan Railway tunnel, train services have been disrupted. As a result, trains scheduled to pass through Mangaluru have been diverted. The Ernakulam Nizamuddin Express (22655) has been diverted via Shoranur-Palakkad. Southern Railway has advised passengers about these diversions.

it depends on timing and infra. if MEMU with toilets are given. 5 hrs is manageable so Ratnagiri to karwar, Ranagiri to mumbai outer may be panvel it can be done. I am not against any long ICE for ratnagiri though.

There was a proposal of constructing a terminal at Sawantwadi Road when Suresh Prabhu was the RM. Any idea what happended to that proposal. They just built an additional platform and 2 extra lines. No progress beyond that.
