Baiyappanhalli ( Bengaloru ) - Hosur - Doubling of Railway tracks have to be extended up to Omalur Junction( near Salem ) .It eases the heavy traffic of Bengaloru - Jolarpettai / Salem via Tiruppatur.
Moreover, Baiyappanhalli - Hosur - Omalur Junction sections are comes under the Bengaloru Division of the South Western Railway.
So requested our SWR that proposal may be send for the extension of Track doubling beyond Hosur up to Omalur Junction with Electrification.

Electrification is in progress from bpyl upto omalur but doubling is upto hosur only
That will be taken up on priority 2 basis. BYPL-HSRA passes majorly through Bengaluru city and cost is huge to expedite this project. Moreover, line till HSRA is very much needed for running sub-urban trains.
By the time this gets completed, SWR should chalk plans to double the remaining 136 kms till Kaluvalli.
