increased speed is attributed to the removal of bottlenecks caused by single-line crossings and the implementation of inter-locking systems at stations along the Lucknow-Ayodhya Cantt-Shahganj-Jafrabad rail route. This will also benefit passengers on the Patna Kota, Farakka, and other trains passing through Ayodhya. Additionally, a new train service between Patna and Dumka via Jamalpur-Bhagalpur commenced on Wednesday. The 13334 Down Patna-Dumka Express will depart daily from Patna Junction at 6:40 AM, reaching Dumka at 1:30 PM. The return service, 13333 Up Dumka-Patna Express, will depart Dumka at 2:05 PM and reach Patna Junction at 9:45 PM. As part of these changes, the stopping time of the 13236 Down Danapur-Sahibganj Intercity Express at Kiul Station has been adjusted from 8:52 AM to 9:02 AM, and the departure time of the 03488 Down Kiul-Jamalpur DEMU Passenger train from Kiul Station has been changed to 9:20 AM.

Patna at 6:40 AM and reach Dumka at 1:30 PM. This service will eliminate the need for Dumka residents to travel through JCDH or Bhagalpur to reach Patna. The train will make stops at 12 stations between Patna and Dumka, including Bara Palaise, Noniahat, Hansdiha, Barahat, Bhagalpur, Sultan Ganj, Jamalpur Junction, Abhayapur, Kiul, Baad, Bakhtiarpur, and Rajendra Nagar. The train will consist of 22 coaches and will be powered by electric engines. The new service will cause minor adjustments to the schedules of two other trains: the 13236 Danapur-Sahibganj Intercity Express, which will arrive at Kiul 10 minutes later, and the 03488 Kiul-Jamalpur DEMU Passenger, which will depart from Kiul 5 minutes later.

The return journey from Dumka will start at 2:05 PM, reaching Bhagalpur at 4:32 PM and Patna at 9:45 PM. This extension will cause slight adjustments in the timings of three other trains: 13235 Sahibganj-Danapur Intercity, 13236 Danapur-Sahibganj Intercity, and 03488 Kiul-Jamalpur DEMU Passenger. The Ganga-Damodar Express will continue to operate its Dhanbad-Patna service as usual, departing Dhanbad at 11:20 PM and arriving in Patna at 5:15 AM. It will then be used for the Patna-Dumka service, departing Patna at 6:40 AM and returning to Patna at 9:45 PM. The train will then depart from Patna for Dhanbad at 11:30 PM.
