* Post give very good info and practically touches most problems faced by IR, but outlines the external reforms only. The internal reforms (to increase efficiency) that IR very urgently need are not discussed.
* Post advocates allocation of more funds/facilities & more freedom for IR. Biggest need of the hour for IR is to use its resources-funds, trains, manpower etc in more productive & efficient way so that internal revenue generation (surplus) is much higher.
* Rs. 8.5 lac crore investment proposed in 5yrs shall be helpful to IR only...
more... when they are efficiently invested in profitable projects, resulting in huge growth in revenue surplus; which will enable IR to strengthen, modernize & augment its infrastructure to meet ever increasing traffic demands.. Else IR shall not be able to repay loan taken for these projects and become bankrupt.
