You still now didn't understand what I am saying...
I am not telling Hijli and Girimaidan r in same route......I am not telling how much trains stop in hijli...I am not comparing these stations at all...... I think I know these places very well than you both by road within city as well as all train routes of KGP Division.
I am just saying 1 thing that Nimpura stn should be developed with full passengers amenities and stop more passengers trains for the benefit of huge population of Kharagpur city. I have...
more... given a similar proposal to KGP DRM sir just before this lockdown period, but I not received any further information about it. But I want to know all rainfans opinion about it also..... but don't compare Nimpura stn with any other station like Hijli, Girimaidan, Kharagpur stns.
I think NIMPURA Stn development is required:
NIMPURA & MALANCHA IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST POPULATION OF KHARAGPUR. A STATION AT NIMPURA WILL BENEFIT LAKHS OF PEOPLE OF THIS AREA. PEOPLE OF THIS AREA GOES TO KHARAGPUR STN TO CATCH TRAINS TOWARDS TATA, BBS SIDE. PEOPLE OF THIS AREA GOES TO GIRIMAIDAN STATION TO CATCH TRAINS TOWARDS HOWRAH SIDE OR ADRA SIDE. ALTHOUGH AUTO, BUS SERVICE FROM NIMPURA TO GIRIMAIDAN & KHARAGPUR STN IS VERY GOOD BUT STILL PEOPLE HAS TO TRAVEL BY THESE MODES. A TRAIN STOPPAGE AT NIMPURA WILL HELP PEOPLE TO CATCH TATA SIDE TRAINS DIRECTLY FROM NIMPURA, ALSO ALTERNATE TRAIN AVAILABILITY TOWARDS HOWRAH SIDE DIRECTLY FROM NIMPURA AND WILL SAVE 1 HRS OR MORE TRAVEL TIME OF PGRS, ALSO REDUCE PASSENGERS LOAD ON KHARAGPUR STATION.
THERE IS A STATION AT KALAIKUNDA WHICH IS ALSO AROUND 8 KM FROM NIMPURA AREA AND ALSO ROAD CONNECTIVITY NOT MUCH GOOD THERE. ALTHOUGH SER DEVELOPING KALAIKUNDA STN WITH 2ND FOB, RAISING PLATFORM HEIGHT THERE THAT IS GOOD BUT NIMPURA STN WOULD BE BENEFICIAL MORE.
THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH NIMPURA IS IT A GOODS YARD WITH ALSO WAGON INSPECTION LINES AND ROH SHED SO NO NEW PLATFORM CONSTRUCTION POSSIBLE. BUT THE PRESENT STATION PLATFORM CAN BE DEVELOPED WITH PGR AMENITIES AND A FOB. I KNOW IT IS A BUSY LINE AND PLATFORM IS ON MAINLINE WITH NO LOOP LINE THERE FOR PLATFORM, SO STOPPING MANY TRAINS THERE CAN HAMPER OTHER TRAINS MOVEMENT THERE. BUT ATLEAST 1 OR 2 MORE DAYTIME PGR TRAINS CAN BE STOPPED. ALSO 3RD LINE BETWEEN KGP AND TATA IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION SO MODIFICATION IS 100% POSSIBLE ONLY NOW ....AFTERWARDS WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE THERE. A PLATFORM THERE WILL BENEFIT LAKHS OF PASSENGERS OF KHARAGPUR TOWN AS WELL AS SEVERAL RAILWAY EMPLOYEES.
