23-24, these solar panels generated electricity at seven stations, including Gazhandi, saving the railway 22,54,651 rupees. The goal is to install solar panels with a total capacity of 3760 kWh across 91 stations and 49 other buildings in the Dhanbad division by March 31, 2025. This initiative aims to reduce electricity bills, leading to revenue savings, and contribute to a cleaner environment. Tenders have been issued for solar plants of 10-20 kW capacity at six stations in the Dhanbad division, including Patratu, Tori, Raykhilaari, Krishnashilla, and Shakti Nagar. The East Central Railway aims to generate 3760 kWh of electricity at 91 stations in the Dhanbad division at a cost of approximately 20 crore rupees. The railway is committed to achieving the zero-carbon emission target by transitioning from conventional energy sources to solar energy. Across five railway divisions of the East Central Railway, solar panel lamps with a combined capacity of 2197.52 kW are being installed. In 2023-24, a total of 18.54 lakh units of electricity were generated, resulting in savings of 77.81 lakh rupees on electricity bills. The railway is also exploring the possibility of generating and selling electricity through private companies on its vacant land in the future.

FY 23-24 mein Gazhandi sahit 7 stations pe solar panel se bijli mili, jisse railway ko 22,54,651 rupees ki bachat hui. Dhanbad division mein 91 stations aur 49 other building pe 3760 kWh capacity wala solar panel March 31, 2025 tak lagane ka target hai. Isse electricity bill kam hoga, revenue ki bachat hogi aur environment bhi saaf hoga. Dhanbad division ke 6 stations pe 10-20 kilowatt ke solar plant ke liye tender ho gaya hai. Patratu, Tori, Raykhilaari, Krishnashilla aur Shakti Nagar pe kaam jaldi shuru hoga. Dhanbad division ke 91 stations pe almost 20 crore rupees se 3760 kWh bijli ka production ka target hai. Railway zero carbon emission target achieve karne ke liye conventional energy source se solar energy pe shift kar raha hai. East Central Railway ke 5 railway divisions mein 2197.52 kW capacity ke solar panel lamps lagane ka kaam chal raha hai. 2023-24 mein 18.54 lakh unit bijli ka production hua aur electricity bill mein 77.81 lakh rupees ki bachat hui.
