There are only 12 pairs of trains originating or terminating at Vasco Da Gama out of which 3 are local passenger trains and two are slip trains still it's in top 5 for UBL division says something.

I can also make a point then that Goa SK and Mandovi express run almost empty to MAO. It's a wrong assumption in the first place that only tourists from other states visit Goa and reverse tourism is not a factor. Vasco and immediate suburbs has a population of more than a lakh and isn't it unfair to assume that even a large section of the population don't travel as tourists to other states ?

Second migration from other states to Goa is also a huge factor and Vasco Da Gama...

being one of the biggest migration centre in Goa. There's a reason when Patna SF was introduced it was ran till Vasco inspite of the reversal at Madgaon. Besides Vasco is also an industrial hub.
