Bangalore Metro's QR code ticketing system has seen a significant increase in usage, surpassing 25 lakh users within a year of its launch in November 2022. tickets directly on their mobile devices, resulting in faster boarding times and reduced physical contact. The introduction of QR group tickets for up to six passengers with a 5% discount further boosted its usage. While the 'One Nation, One Card' mobility card scheme has received a lukewarm response, BMRCL is promoting it in collaboration with Ratnakar Bank Limited (RBL). The growing popularity of QR codes is reflected in the increasing daily ridership on the Metro, currently at 8 lakh, with 52.27% using smart cards and 20.7% using QR codes. Passengers can obtain a QR code by sending a 'Hi' message to BMRCL's WhatsApp chatbot number: 810 555 66 77.

Traditionally token purchase se yeh bahut alag hai, passengers apne mobile mein tickets buy aur store kar sakte hain, isse boarding time kam hota hai aur physical contact bhi kam hota hai. QR group tickets bhi launch kiye gaye hain jismein 6 passengers tak ke liye 5% ka discount milta hai, yeh bhi system ke use ko badha raha hai. 'One Nation, One Card' mobility card scheme ko aisa response nahi mila jaisa ki socha gaya tha, lekin BMRCL ise promote kar raha hai Ratnakar Bank Limited (RBL) ke saath. QR code ki badhti popularity Metro mein daily ridership se bhi pata chalti hai, jo abhi 8 lakh hai, jismein 52.27% smart card use kar rahe hain aur 20.7% QR code use kar rahe hain. Passengers BMRCL ke WhatsApp chatbot number 810 555 66 77 pe 'Hi' message send karke QR code get kar sakte hain.

to be in severe financial distress and struggling with debt. While Metro services were briefly disrupted on the Purple Line, the situation was handled swiftly. This marks the third suicide attempt reported at Bengaluru Metro stations this year, prompting renewed discussions about installing Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) for safety. The BMRCL, however, cites challenges and costs associated with implementing PSDs across all stations. The BMRCL has announced increased security measures at all stations to prevent future attempts.

Is incident se Purple Line pe Metro services thoda time ke liye ruk gayi, par situation ko jaldi handle kar liya gaya. Yeh is saal Bengaluru ke Metro stations pe hota hua teesra suicide attempt hai, jisse sabhi 61 Metro stations pe Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) lagane ki baat phir se chal rahi hai. Par, BMRCL ka kehna hai ki sabhi stations pe PSDs lagna operational hours mein mushkil aur bahut expensive hoga. BMRCL ne sabhi stations pe security badhane ka bhi ailan kiya hai, taaki aage aise attempts na ho paye.
